Lane Keep Assist (LKA)
FedEx recognizes ongoing supply constraints for LKA in the secondary market. As a result:

LKA is not currently a contract requirement for newly leased tractors.

When required in the future, FedEx will provide at least six months’ advance notice to contractors.

LKA also fulfills the existing Lane Departure Warning (LDW) requirement, where applicable.
REL monitors this technology closely and keeps your fleet prepared as requirements evolve.
Blind Spot Detection — Passenger Side
FedEx specifies that Blind Spot Detection applies to the passenger side only.
This system helps reduce sideswipe incidents by alerting drivers to vehicles or obstacles in the right-hand lane — a critical safety feature for linehaul contractors.
