Rolling Equity Leasing (REL) was formed in 2020 by founding partners Pat McKay and Tyler Tattum, after 30-year careers in transportation working together at multiple firms.  Both Pat and Tyler started their careers at FedEx Ground (RPS) in the early 1990’s, and worked operations roles from Dock coordinators, through terminal manager, hub manager, linehaul manager, and culminating in Managing Director roles.  Both Tyler and Pat moved on to Schneider National by 2008, and then on to Roadrunner Transportation by 2013 where they managed central Fleet Services overseeing general procurement, maintenance management, recruiting, and asset management of a lease-purchase program.   Most of their careers have included working with and managing Independent Contractor relationships in the trucking industry.   In 2019, they decided to form a business plan and model that focused on truck leasing and financing for small trucking fleets.  They decided to partner with a few OEM retail dealers who provided initial investment, and in 2020, REL was born with a small group of 8 employees.   REL was formed to help close the gap in purchase and financing costs of small fleets versus the larger scale fleets with volume incentives.   Since our formation in 2020, we have added fuel discounts, in-house maintenance management and 24/7 breakdown management, and sponsorship of several insurance products all designed to help lower costs of ownership for our customers.  REL continues to develop products and services that help our customers reduce cost and improve efficiencies.  REL’s vision is to be the premier truck leasing provider through innovative, customer-focused solutions that redefine the standards of our industry.
